About Gregg

Gregg Heminger is the founder of 4 Hours to Financial Freedom, an extremely successful program that helps people tackle their personal financial issues. His work focuses on helping clients build a financial legacy through education on the basic components of financial literacy: spending, savings, and debt elimination programs, as well as encouraging clients to learn to live a generous lifestyle through a personal, interactive inter-active experience and coaching. His program has achieved amazing results in large groups and one-on-one settings. Gregg is also the author of the blog Overcoming Personal Financial Difficulties.

Gregg’s background spans four decades of leadership positions in the United States Air Force, Ohio Air National Guard, and leadership positions with the largest wholly owned and operated convenience store chain in the United States. His previous work also includes his role as Business Manager for the Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Dayton, Ohio.

In addition to his current position as Business Manager of the Downes, Tallerico, & Schwalm Law Firm in Fairbanks, Alaska, Gregg also owns an accounting business and is a partner in a rental property business with his wife, son, and daughter-in-law.

Gregg completed a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Simpson College in 1991 and earned his Master’s of Theological Studies from United Theological Seminary in 2015. These two degrees allowed Gregg to combine his passion for numbers, analysis, and problem-solving, with his heart for people and seeing people restored, encouraged, and overcoming their personal financial difficulties. He is a Certified Credit Counselor and a Personal Finance Coach.

Gregg and Julie, his wife of 36 years, live in Fairbanks, Alaska. They have two children Justin and Wesley Anne, and four grandchildren, Adrian, Fiona, Luca, and Fynnegan. They live with their two Bull Mastiffs Macy and Angus, as well as their two cats Izzy & Lilly. They enjoy traveling as short-term missionaries to Central America, South Africa, and Mozambique as well as serving as part of an ongoing effort to help keep Alaska’s highways clean. He is on the boards of the Africa on Fire Foundation, Alaska Goldpanner Baseball, and serves as Elder of his church.

Testimonials

“I went through the coaching with Gregg and just by listing out personal expenses I was able to locate a huge monthly chunk of change I had been frittering away. Gregg’s coaching was worth literally thousands of dollars to me. 10/10, 5 stars, and I will be continuing with Gregg for additional coaching.”

“Learned bunches in the budget coaching Gregg presented in my sessions with him! Some simple techniques already paying off. Just cutting out our morning coffee stops has saved us big $$ to spend more wisely and help reduce our other debts. Thanks!”

Michael I.

“Gregg is very comprehensive yet personable. He was straight forward about finances but treated the situation I was in with tenderness and empathy. I would absolutely recommend his services without question.”
